I came that they might have life and have it abundantly. John 10.10
A Christmas tree has much symbolism that reminds us of God and His Christmas gifts to us. Its general shape is that of a triangle, symbol of the triune God. It is green, symbolic of life. Through God’s Son, we have new life here on earth and look forward to eternal life in heaven. The ornamented tree creates an air of joy in our home. As our lives are filled with the joy of knowing Christ, the more funny we realize the abundance of life our Saviour creates for us.
PRAYER: Dear Saviour, as the tinsel on a Christmas tree reflects its lights, make our lives a reflection of true joy that comes from You. Amen.
The email came in at about 11:58 p.m. last night..and I accepted the challenge.
I was asked to be the guest speaker at the Toastmasters Christmas party tonight. If you allow for a good eight hours sleep (which I was able to enjoy, despite the huge task that lay ahead of me) and the fact that I had to work around two prior commitments that I had made for today, I’ve had approximately six hours to think about, write and practise what I want to say.
So, I think I will leave you with a good Monday morning chuckle and get back to my speech.
