Holy Curiosity

I came across another great quote today.

The important thing is not to stop questioning.
Curiosity has its own reason for existing.
One cannot help but be in awe
when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity,
of life, of the marvelous structure of reality.
It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend
a little of this mystery every day.
Never lose a holy curiosity.   Albert Einstein

I have always been a “why” person – my husband only allows me to ask about three “why” questions/day, otherwise I would bombard him. I can’t help it – I’m curious…about everything. What I appreciate about Einstein’s quote is the idea of a “holy curiosity” and when I read through the Gospels, I am always amazed at the number of questions that Jesus asked.  His questions probed the soul and they were not easily ignored. His questions always take an unsettling turn towards me and make me stop to ponder the answers.  I was thinking today how marvelous it would be to take one of Jesus’ questions every morning and do a little study on it.

Hm….note to self.

The questions below were collected by Monsignor Charles Pope but I include them all in this post to give you a quick visual of the number of Jesus’s questions and the depth of His insightfulness.
