I’m back!

It’s me — Phoenix!

It seems like a long time since I’ve been at Papak and Nana’s house but I’m here now and I get to stay 5 days!

Nana has given me many different kinds of amazing frogs (not live ones!) for my collection since I was a little boy. I wasn’t here for Canada Day, so Nana surprised me with some great sunglasses too!

Whenever I sleep here, I also sleep with a big stuffed frog!

I love coming here in the summer because I love hangin’ out with Papak and Nana, I can swim all day and I think bouncing on the tube behind the boat is awesome. Yesterday, it felt like I was body surfing!

This summer, the goal is to get me on water-skis! I’m ready this year! I’m not afraid to fall because I fell off the tube three times yesterday! Papak was the driver and he made the boat bump a lot. My dog was flying up and down. My mom kept yelling to Papak that, “This is NOT a relaxing ride!” but I LOVED it!

This morning, I started day camp at Papak and Nana’s church. The theme for this week is Son Treasure Island Camp.  My favourite part of the morning was seeing my friends again and also in Bible games, we played this shooting game. I’m not sure how that relates to the Bible but hey…it was fun!

Nana made me cinnamon buns for lunch so I’m trying to get all the healthy stuff down first.

It was too wavy on the lake  to water ski but Papak and I had the best time wave jumping. Nana came with us for a little while — she says that jumping waves is her favourite things to do — but she had to go to a Toastmaster meeting and make a salad so she missed some REALLY big waves.

I’ll let you know when I’m up on skis!

Glad you’re back, Phoenix! Sounds like you’re going to have an awesome week at camp and with your Nana and Papak! Looking forward to reading about your adventures!
