What a beautiful and powerful promise to claim.
So if my word that goes out from my mouth; it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55.11
Today, I went through a not-so-pleasant experience and I must admit, there have been moments in the past couple of weeks when I felt quite nervous about it all. I shared the details with a few caring and safe friends, who in turn, comforted me and began to pray over me . . . and continued to pray over me throughout the day.
I remember a moment of complete calm as I entered into the situation – unlike any “calm” that I have ever experienced. In prayer, I had set my mind on that which is good and right and true. I know, without question, that when God’s word is spoken, it accomplishes what He desires and achieves the purpose for which it was spoken.
Either God’s word is true or it is not. Either God’s Word sets us free or it does not.
I believe that I claim truth when I claim Jesus.
That’s how I get through this life.
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4.12
