That was the theme of the weekend — Let’s Get Real.
I’ve been speaking at a young mom’s getaway retreat — but there’s always a couple of cute babies to watch and snuggle!
I told stories . . .
. . . and I talked about what it means to be real.
You won’t get wormy apples off a healthy tree, nor good apples off a diseased tree. The health of the apple tells the health of the tree. You must begin with your own life-giving lives. It’s who you are, not what you say and do, that counts. Your true being brims over into true words and deeds. Luke 6. 43-45 The Message
I participated in a drumming circle…
and I played “Minit-to-Winit” with the gang.
We had a campfire, played BINGO and boy, did we eat…and eat…and eat.
This morning, I spoke on “regret” and we had a special group time as we shared our lives.
. . . and more . . .
. . . and more.
Something very special happens when women get together . . .
. . . and we’re being real.
By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or fits from thistles? Matthew 7.16
