“Phishing” with Phoenie

On Canada Day, my friend and I went onto the harbour dock and fished with a wooden stick and a worm.

We fished for about thirty minutes and the competition was about to end at 11:00 am. At 10:55, Nana said  to me, “You better start talking to your fish, Phoenie because the competition is over in less than five minutes.”

At 10:59, I CAUGHT A FISH!. . . a seven inch perch.

. . . and it was the biggest fish caught in the competition. (Well, I think a girl caught a little bigger fish but there was a prize for both the boy and the girl who caught the biggest fish)

So, I won $150.00!

This is the envelope that I got.

I felt the fish pull my pole and when I lifted it up, I was really surprised that there was a fish on the end. Nana rushed me to the officials and they measured the fish. When the man told me that I won, I was really happy. I’m saving up for an iPod Nano and I also have a gift card from iTunes so I’ve got lots of money now.

I also gave my friend part of my money because there were three $50.00 bills in the envelope and I wanted to share. Nana told me that it’s good to be generous.

Papak and I went to the fireworks last night and I went to bed really late so Papak and Nana had to wake me up today at 9:30 am.

It’s time to play again!
