Phoenie’s blog

Hi! It’s Phoenie here!

It’s not much fun when I’m sick but when I’m at Nana and Papak’s house, being sick is OK.  🙂

This is me under a blanket, drinking Nana’s famous chai and watching Mr. Bean’s Holiday. I also ate way too many frozen grapes and now I have a stomach ache AND a stuffed nose AND a sore throat.

Papak and Nana and I laughed all the way through the movie. Unfortunately, that hurt my throat more. I think Nana is going to strongly suggest that I get in bed early tonight. I think it will be hard for her to lift me because I gained weight eating all those grapes!

I’m back at school now – Grade 7 – and it feels pretty good except I got homework the first day of school! Math homework! Do you know about BEDMAS?  – Brackets, Exponents, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subjection. I had a quiz on the fourth day of school! Ugh!

It sure is good to see all my friends again. I only got into a little trouble at school so far but I think it was worth it because I was having a blast at the time. Even though some of my good friends aren’t in my class, it’s OK because now that we’re in the older grades, we rotate classes. The only time that we’re not together is homeroom so I still see my friends a lot.

So, I’m learning about the Oxford comma at school. For example, I would write, “Papak, Nana and, I are watching a movie right now.” I think the comma looks kinda’ odd there but that’s OK because I like being odd. Steve Jobs was odd too. But he died in October, 2011.

Hm . . .er . . . ah . . . .“TH-TH-THAT’S ALL, FOLKS!” -porky pig

Back to the movie and then to bed!

  1. Get well soon, Phoenie! Sorry about the homework.
