Not exactly a biblical truth but there’s something to be said about drinking tea with a friend.
Recently, a very sad and lonely friend came for an unexpected visit.
I made her a chai tea and we sat in the living room quietly.
We listened to the snowmobiles buzzing by on the lake and we drank tea.
No words were spoken.
There was no awkward silence. Just presence, tears and tea.
People often ask me questions that I cannot very well answer in words, and it makes me sad to think they are unable to hear the voice of my silence. Hazrat Inayat Khan
