THE NAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s me, Phoenie! I LOVE being Nana’s guest blogger.  For those who don’t know me, I’m now in my double digits (I’m 10 years old!) and I am AWESOME! I read like to eat and play tennis and do Tai Kwan Do and read books and of course, BLOG! I’ve been Nana’s guest blogger for approximately three years now. I think I’ve blogged like 30 or 40 times.

Today I would like to talk about names.

My name means “blood red” or “fiery bird that rises from the ashes.”  Nana says my name is very special because ever since I can remember, she’s told me that I am a gift of God. We always lie in bed together at night and we talk about stuff and we also pray.

I also know how to spell my name in six languages.

Phoenie's name

I’m doing a project in Social Studies on Ancient Greece and I know several gods, goddesses and titans: Kronos, Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hermes, Ares, Apollo, Artimes, Hercules, Hera and Aphrodite. I really like to learn about Mythology because I’m getting educated and having fun too!

Last night, Papak, Nana and I were looking up our names and I learned that Papak means “hoof” and Nanak (I added the extra “k” on the end, just to see what would happen) means “pus.” Nana doesn’t like the meaning of her name so she said “Let’s stick with “Nana.”

So, I’m here with my Hoof and my Pus – for four days! ( HELP!)

I don’t think Nana should leave me with the laptop because I am VERY creative!  Ha,ha

I’ll blog again sometime this weekend! We’ve off to Chapters now.

See ya!

  1. Another great blog Phoenie. Always a good read. Your Nana has been blogging for a couple of years and I have read every one of them. Putting your thought down in a blog is a great way to let every one know who you are and what your interests are. Good work! xo ‘Mrs. B.’
