Will I Ever Learn?

Does Jesus ever tire of me?

I think not . . . but there are moments that I tire of myself and do wonder,“Will I ever learn?”

I laughed when I first saw this featured image on FB this morning but it also caused me to think about this incredible, healing journey that I have been on for the past 40+ years.

I accepted Christ in my life when I was fourteen years old and I’ve been journalling ever since. These days, I often grab a chai tea, a handful of old journals, head to my swing by the water and read through my thoughts and feelings of four decades.

It’s been an ever-unfolding journey from brokenness to restoration . . .

. . . and God has never given up on me.

The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness (Exodus 34.6) has not given up on me.

I was deeply moved when I read Deuteronomy 4.29 recently.

But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.

“There” is wherever you are, wherever you have been, wherever you will be. No matter how hopeless it FEELS, the truth remains that God has always loved you and He loves you now with an unfailing love. He will not forsake you and He has promised that He Himself will restore you and bring to completion what He has started in you.

Amen. Amen.

      Thanks for taking the time.
…and I agree…these verses are powerful truths for everyone. Love Diane
